The Sheriff's Office says deputies made "a discovery most fowl."
Harris County Sheriff's deputies seized 377 roosters allegedly used for cock-fighting, and the two men who allegedly owned the birds are facing criminal charges, according to the Sheriff's Office.

"Deputies initially responded on August 23 to the property in the 14000 block of Sellers Road in north Harris County in response to a kidnapping complaint," according to an HCSO press release.

No evidence of kidnapping was found -- just a ton of birds in cages, as well as three kilos of cocaine, an undisclosed amount of marijuana, and over $40,000 in cash. The press release did not disclose the name of the men facing charges.

The roosters have been turned over to the SPCA, according to the press release. Deputies with the Harris County Constable Precinct One's Office and the SPCA assisted at the scene.
