Evening Commute Should Be Drier as High Pressure Moves In
For those concerned about a soggy evening commute, you are in luck. The rain we've been getting throughout the day will continue in spurts for a few more hours, but should begin to clear out by the early evening as high pressure in the Mississippi Valley moves westward into southeast Texas.

Additionally, temperatures should remain mild across the region with overcast skies. The drier air might even make it feel pleasant out tonight if you feel like sitting on your porch...in the middle of July...in Houston.
Shocker, we know.
Fortunately, no additional downpours are expected, so the trip home might be damp, but not any more harrowing than normal. Be safe.
