Downing Street Pub Manager Joseph Dufault Died In Sunday's Hummer Wreck

Categories: Breaking News

The Harris County Medical Examiner's office confirmed to Hair Balls that Downing Street Pub Manager Joseph Dufault died in Sunday's single-vehicle wreck on Allen Parkway. Dufault was driving a Hummer around 2 p.m. near Waugh when he sped off a curve before smashing into a tree. He was 29.

According to KHOU, witnesses said the Hummer was "driving too fast...and flipped several times before landing upside down." A female passenger was also in the car, but escaped with minor injuries.

CJ Gerukos, one of Downing Street's managers, also told Hair Balls that Dufault died in Sunday's accident. Gerukos said he's not yet heard of any plans from the family regarding a memorial, but will be contacting them shortly.

According to Dufault's LinkedIn account, he began working as a manager at Downing Street in August 2011. Prior to that he served as the owner of Knockout Investments, which operated in East Downtown, and ran Church Street Cafe Salsa.

You were a great friend and will be missed by everyone who knew you. I wish you could have been there to see your godson grow up, I will let him know how proud you are of him and how you will continue to look over him as he turns into a man. You had so much to live for, but you are in a better place now. You have brought happiness and joy to many people, for that is a true blessing. R.I.P my friend, you really did live to "seize the day", I love you man.

This isn't the first one either; that high powered attorney also speeding in the rain met his end near there too and took out an entire oak tree.

The Allen Parkway is the prettiest road in town.  I don't understand why so many people feel the need to treat it like a race track.  Enjoy the scenery folks!  You don't get much of that driving around Houston.

Especially in a Hummer. Of course that perchase lends to dicy decision making.

"Dicy decision making" wow. Get a life whoever you are and keep your heartless comments to yourself. No matter what the case may be, an amazing person with one of the biggest hearts I have ever known, even if he did purchase a "Hummer" lost his life.

He bought this ridiculous vehicle known for many things but NOT it's handling. He flew down a street that's ALWAYS busy, with little regard for the safety of his passenger or the sidewalks and bike trails packed with children/geezers. I don't care if he was Mother Teresa's love child this was a comedy of bone-headed decisions that could've resulted in other deaths, so, no, the case kinda does matter.
