FBI Offering $10K "Quick Christmas Cash" for Help Apprehending Bank Robber

Categories: Crime

You really have to hand it to the FBI. For an organization that doesn't seem really funny at all, their press releases seeking the help of citizens to apprehend criminals can be hilarious. Take this "digital billboard" effort to catch Victor Dwayne Johnson, who is charged with bank robbery for the robbery of the Woodforest National Bank in Pasadena back in August.

The e-mail sent to media included this line: "This would bring some quick Christmas cash or a New Year's windfall for anyone who can help us locate him." Hey, it was enough to get us to write this, so mission accomplished, FBI PR people.

According to the release, Johnson is also wanted for questioning in other bank robberies over the last year. In the Woodforest Bank robbery, he allegedly grabbed a teller and threatened her. He escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash and, fortunately, no one was hurt.

In addition to PR efforts by the FBI, Clear Channel Outdoor-Houston is donating public-service ads on Houston-area digital billboards.

Johnson is a 38-year-old black male, six feet two inches tall and weighing approximately 170 pounds. Anyone with information about Johnson is asked to call the Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 713-222-TIPS (8477), or submit tips online at www.crime-stoppers.org. Tips can also be sent by text message. Text TIP610 plus your tip to CRIMES (274637). All tipsters remain anonymous.

I read online that he was arrested in California on 12/17/12 & transferred to TX on 01/13/13, HOWEVER, idk ... not anything else anywhere online posted about it. I wld think it wld be on news, & all over the web. I know Victor "capp" Johnson VERY VERY well & all i no is the ppl that worked @ bank he robbed r. Very lucky to be alive! He once told me "IM NOT FULLY WRAPPED,

If banks would rehire all of the armed security guards they selfishly got rid of, these banks wouldn't get robbed in the first place. Now days it's like taking candy from a baby, you don't even need a gun.

Hopefully the $10k will be enough incentive for someone he knows to turn him in.
