Houston police released sketches of three suspects allegedly involved in robberies of AT&T employees in the Acres Homes area. According to a press release, the three men approach AT&T workers, threaten them with guns and steal their belongings, including phones and iPads issued by AT&T.

In addition to rewards offered by police, AT&T is offering $50,000 for information leading to arrest and conviction of the suspects, who are believed to have been involved in robberies outside the Houston city limits as well.

The robberies in Acres Homes happened on the following dates:

900 Lucky, Oct. 8, 12:40 p.m.
1700 Wilburforce, Oct. 19, 4:20 p.m.
2000 Gardenia, Nov. 6, 11:30 p.m.
790 Little York, Nov. 7, 2 p.m.
1500 Tulane, Nov. 14, 10:45 a.m.

Police say the suspects are described as black males, presumed to be in their late teens to early 20s (one they believe is most certainly in his 20s). One is 5 feet 6 inches tall and skinny. The second is 5 feet 8 inches tall with a normal build. The third is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing between 200 and 230 pounds.

Let's stop there for just a moment because one has to wonder, do the police not have a polite way to say heavy? Chunky or husky or chubby or pleasantly plump didn't work? Also, the sketch artist's notes on this suspect's sketch refer to him as "big boned." Big boned? He is allegedly an accomplice in multiple armed robbery. Is everyone concerned he might get his feelings hurt if his weight was called into question?

These are the things that keep me up at night, people...that and armed robbers, obviously.

Anyway, anyone with information on the identities of these suspects is urged to contact the HPD Robbery Division at 281-405-6500. But, be nice.
