Destiny Adams and Kimberly Pierce: Two East Texas Women on Cutting Edge of "Keying Men's Trucks" Epidemic?

Destiny Adams: As Kenny Loggins might put it, "What a shot you would be if you could shoot me with those...ANGRY EYES."
As the furrow-browed detectives say in all those bad cop dramas, "Looks like we've got a pattern here."

Criminal mischief. Lots of it. And of the felony kind.

Two East Texas women have been arrested on that charge in the last week, both of them for damaging the paint jobs of trucks with keys.

We'll take the cases chronologically. On Sunday, 20-year-old Destiny Nicole Adams, also known as Destiny Butcher, of the town of Cushing, was busted after a man said she keyed his 2001 Ford truck while it was parked in front of his home on rural FM 343. The man said Adams did the deed after he ordered her and her three friends off his property. He claimed that she caused $2,000 in damages.

In the comments section of the story on KTRE's site, someone claiming to be Destiny Butcher says that estimate was inflated, and that the guy had it coming because he'd been talking shit about her kids, and that the truck in question was a piece of crap anyway, and that she wasn't the first person who'd keyed him.

If those comments were really typed by Adams/Butcher, we're gonna have to guess that her attorney is not really happy about now.

In the second case, a woman was not content to merely allegedly key her stepfather's truck. Nope, she also reportedly decided to destroy his office while she was at it.

And she apparently did it all for absolutely no reason other than she was mad at some other dude.

Kimberly Pierce: Mad at boyfriend, she (allegedly) destroyed stepfather's stuff. Makes sense to us...
According to an Angelina County Sheriff's Office affidavit by KTRE, on April 8, 31-year-old Kimberly Pierce of Lufkin was in a white-hot rage after a fight with her boyfriend, so she headed to her mom's house to vent some steam, girl-talk style.

Unfortunately for all involved, mom was not home, but her stepfather had left his truck there, which, according to the affidavit, Pierce keyed. And then she moved on to her stepfather's office, which police say she laid waste to, destroying a 32-inch TV and a DVR machine in the process. The affidavit said she was in such a rage-out that she didn't remember leaving the house.

Forgive a little speculation here: Unless her stepfather was also her boyfriend, why did Pierce pick on him? Was it just a matter of "All things belonging to creatures with penises must be destroyed"? The record is silent on the issue.

The total estimated damages of her alleged blitzkrieg: $4,500.

As with the case of Destiny Adams, that's enough for a state jail felony, punishable by up to two years' behind bars. Pierce was arrested earlier this week and as of Tuesday was behind bars on a $2,500 bond.
