Astros Say the Pistol on the Colt .45 Throwbacks Might Be Back

Categories: Sports

The pistol is still possible.
The Astros have announced that Major League Baseball has reversed its decision to ban the pistols from the Colt .45 throwbacks the team will wear in honor of their 50th anniversary.

The team says they will announce tomorrow whether the pistols will be on the unis, which will be worn for Friday home games.

"This week, MLB informed the Astros that the [pistol] decision would be left to the ballclub," the team said in a statement. "The Astros organization continues to value fan input, therefore the Astros have been reaching out to fans the past week to get their opinion on this issue."

Have you been reached out to? We haven't. But you still have time to make your feelings known.

Actually, given the outcry about the "PC" decision to ban the gun, and the fact that the Astros are hyping the announcement tomorrow, we're betting that your Colt .45 throwback will indeed be armed and dangerous.

The pussy cats that banned this initially must have been from California. Stay safe, stay second amendment.

I was under the impression the Colt Firearms company, in order to protect their trademark, required the team to stop using the pistol on their uniforms.

This is Texas, god damn it, give us the pistol or give us death

That pistol better be back. Get rid of the PC pansy who even suggested that it shouldn't be.
