We have some great commenters here on Hair Balls, and it's time we paid some damn attention to them.

So we'll be highlighting a Comment of the Day each morning, from the previous day's work. Maybe two comments, even.

This will all be determined by a highly rigorous scientific formula involving wit, clarity and whatever else we feel like at the moment.

Critics say the Yale Street Bridge is in bad shape, and the planned Heights-area Walmart will only make things worse.

Scott Bodenheimer wrote:

Really? Like anyone is surprised that not only the Yale Street Bridge but Yale Street itself isn't up to the task of funnelling thousands of cars and trucks to and from Walmart from I-10? How any Houstonian with even a high school education couldn't have seen this particular shit heading toward the fan is beyond me. Particularly the mayor.

The problem being of course that most people in Houston don't have a H.S. diploma. But they seem to make enough money  to shop at WalMart.
