Woman shot in her car.
A 30-year-old molecular genetics technology student was shot and killed in the Galleria area early Monday.

Gelareh Bagherzadeh was shot about 12:30 Monday morning in the 800 block of Augusta. police say.

She was shot in her car and drove into a townhome garage. Media reports indicate she was talking on her cell with an ex-boyfriend at the time, and he told police he heard some background noises and then the phone went dead, KHOU said.

The Houston Chronicle has interviewed her in the past in her role as a sharp critic of the Iranian government. It is not known if her activism had any role in the death.

"Homicide investigators responded to the scene and were told by witnesses that several gunshots were heard, a crash and then tires squealing," HPD says.

Anyone with information in this case is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.

About to be expected by the cowards of the muslim world. If it isn't women they must treat like cattle then it's the constant hate of everyone else! But what do you expect out of a world full of idiots that have to have a book that explains how to properly wipe your ass? Yeah I really can't wait for some moron muslim to come and attempt to force me to pray to that idiot god of theirs 5 stupid times a day and to only eat with one hand and wrap my partner for life in a freaking bag because the rest of those losers get so turned on by the sight of a toe they must go and rape her, then blame it on her and then she gets stoned to death for adultery but the guide book on ass wiping and now how to blame her for your weaknesses says that if she has 2 men witnesses that prove she was raped she is not tried! WOW! What a great Religion! NOT!
