Billie Ray Anspach: Perhaps a Geico commercial is in his future.
A Copperas Caveman Cove man is behind bars after police there say he threatened four family members and two friends with a knife during a Sunday morning disturbance.

Police responded to a call about a fight at a ranch house on the outskirts of town, and there found the six victims waiting for them in the front yard. They said that an argument had broken out inside the home that escalated into a fight that injured three of them. (All refused medical treatment.) At some point, the alleged assailant, 43-year-old Billie Ray Anspach, retreated to his room and re-emerged brandishing a lock-blade knife.

The victims say Anspach swung the blade at them and threatened to kill them all if they didn't leave the house. The victims then went outside and Anspach remained indoors, which was where police found him.

He was charged with six counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and was being held on $150,000 bond. The victims' names were not released, but they were described as males of 15, 16, 17, 18, and 19 and a female of 39.

Anspach has been convicted of two felony drug charges. Bell County records inventory his tattoos as consisting of one skull, one dragon, one strand of barbed wire, one "scribe" and one "ying-yang."
