Anatomy of an Illegal New Caney Garbage Pile: Meth, Funny Money and a Hate Pumpkin

Not your usual Jack O'Lantern adornment.
Felony charges could be pending after a Montgomery County Precinct 4 constable uncovered some incriminating and weird items in a large, illegal roadside garbage pile.

Acting on a citizen's complaint, deputy Chapa found the 680-pound dump site in a ditch at the corner of White Oak and Vick in a semirural area of prefab homes outside of New Caney. The deputy decided to open some of the bags in hopes of finding some identifying information -- perhaps the perps had thrown away some mail, he thought. He did find some names, but also much more than that.

Some of the bags contained a total of 40 discarded syringes, some of which still contained meth residue. Another bag contained sheets of uncut counterfeit $100 bills. And a third had the weirdest surprise -- a hate pumpkin.

On this fine example of the genus Cucurbita, some nitwit had taken a Sharpie and scrawled "Pimp SS Kinny," a Nazi SS "lightning bolt" logo and a swastika. There was also something about the Peckerwood prison gang, along with the Roman numerals XXIII and XVI and the number 87, all of which apparently hold some significance for the initiates of that Aryan Brotherhood subsidiary offshoot. View the hate pumpkin in all its glory here.

Okay, we know there's not a whole hell of a lot to do up in rural east Montgomery County, but printing out lame fake $100 bills, loading up on meth and marking up pumpkins with hate speech and gang signs pretty much redefines boredom and misspent youth. Maybe some of that time could have been better spent seeking out a Dumpster and/or going down to Walmart and buying a shredder.

Authorities tell the Montgomery County Police Reporter that they are actively working the leads they found in the trash, and added that the trash pile in and of itself constituted a felony. And then there was the meth and the counterfeit cash...

Head Constable Rowdy Hayden also pointed out that this hazardous dump had been left perilously near a school-bus stop, so it created hazards not only for the road crew that would have had to come pick it up, but also for small children.
