Aggie Orgasm: A&M a Top 10 Team, UT Barely in Top 25

Will UT end up the season the fourth-highest-ranked team in Texas?
We kid the Aggies a lot, but we guess every once in a while they deserve a big day.

Such as today, when the USA Today Coaches Poll came out and found them to have a far, far better football team than those orange-loving dudes in Austin.

A&M is ranked 9th in the poll, UT barely scrapes into the Top 25 at 24. The University of Houston got a bit of love, coming in 37th overall and a listing in the semi-dreaded "Others Receiving Votes" list. (TCU is 15th.)

Now, there's every reason to think the Aggies will blow their good fortune and settle into their usual comfortable mediocrity. Of the Top 10, only Florida State had as many losses last year (four), and we're not convinced FSU is back to greatness, either.

What's great about the UT ranking is that, as with every damn preseason poll, the Longhorns get overranked by at least five or six spots simply on reputation alone.

"Just look at all the five-star recruits they have!" the voters say, and put UT down in a spot from which they steadily fall as the season wears on, unless Vince Young is quarterbacking.

Who will be ranked higher when the season is over -- UT or UH?

The Longhorns can get to six losses without too much of a stretch. UH, unless it completely collapses, would have a hard time hitting that figure.

So gear up, Longhorns -- you might end the season outpolled by three other Texas teams.

Aggie will have dropped further from their pre-season ranking than UT by the end of the season.  Mark it.  They got destroyed by a mediocre LSU team in the Cotton Bowl.  And these idiots actually want to join the SEC.....LOLcopter.
