Leo Berman Not Buying Obama's "Birth Certificate" Stunt; Has Greatest Question Ever

berman042711.jpg
Leo Berman: Not convinced
THANK GOD state rep Leo Berman is still bringing the crazy when it comes to President Obama's place of birth.

Obama, tiring of all the attention still being devoted to this issue (CNN has been pounding it lately), asked for, received and released this morning the official long-form birth certificate from Hawaii.

Berman, Republican of Tyler and the man who has introduced a birther bill in the Lege, demanding all presidential candidates produce birth certificates, did not fall for the president's ludicrously fraudulent act.

And he presented, via the Texas Tribune, the single most compelling argument we have ever heard on behalf of the birthers.

Among the questions Berman still has, the Tribune reported:

Why doesn't the hospital listed on the birth certificate have a "plaque on the door" commemorating Obama's birth there?

It doesn't?

Ipso facto! Res ipsa loquitur!! Kenyan Muslim!!!!

We can only hope the Fox News/talk radio swarms, aided by what Berman refers to as the infallible YouTubes, press the plaque issue. Right along with Donald Trump's reaction to today's release, which was to demand Obama's academic records because he believes Obama -- who was editor of the Harvard Law Review and taught Constitutional law at the University of Chicago -- wasn't really bright enough to get into the Ivy League school.

I for one will not buy into the notion that Leo Berman is brain-dead until I see the death certificate.

It's a shame some of these nut jobs can't be removed from office on the grounds that they are to stark raving mad to be competent.

And I want to make clear that I could care less about the "birther" thing. I'm simply calling out a bogus "study."

Shouldn't an official Birth Certificate show the State of Hawaii Logo and Seal?

There was a study that came out last year showing that people with REALLY strong beliefs don't change their minds if the truth is revealed to them and it is contrary to what they believe. In fact, they become even MORE entrenched in that belief system.

Do you think this will change anything with these dumbasses?

Every so often, a true-believing "Bigfoot Researcher" is approached by someone who confesses, "Dude. That was me you filmed. It's all a hoax. We've been doing it for years! I was wear an ape suit. I make footprints with a concrete cast. Here's the ape suit and the cast to prove it. Here's a series of videos my buddy shot while we were doing it dating back to 1993."

The Bigfoot Researcher will INEVITABLY reply, "That may be true, but that doesn't mean all the other Bigfoot sightings in these parts aren't real."

Every birth certificate I ever saw has had two things on then that this one does not. What we are seeing is nothing more than a piece of paper. Where are the finger and foot prints?

Enough with the birth certificate bullshit. Do people really believe the f-ing president of this country would not be properly vetted? I used to rail against any and everything Obama on this very site. These days I just see him for what he really is, in over his head, and shamefully incompetent. I just hope a better alternative comes up before the next election, because if this guy gets reelected, we are truely fucked...

There are plaques placed as soon as you enter the town they were born. How long have you lived here? Lmao indeed.

"Studies" nearly always start out having a bias towards a specific conclusion. The irony of this one was especially fitting.

Footprints are on the hospital certificate--that's a souvenir, not an official document. My birth certificate has no footprints or fingerprints.

Gigadig

You must be from Texas.... each state has their own format for birth certificates. Hand and foot prints are on the hospital certificates, which are NOT a certificate of birth.

Nate
Nate

And if it did, you would be demanding to see the President's current finger and foot prints, and then complaining when the whorls don't match up "the old ones are smaller! OMG". Birther fools cant be convinced.

My birth certificate doesn't have my finger and foot prints on it. I have a ceremonial piece of paper the hospital gave my parents that does, but it sure aint a birth certificate.

Ryamorris62

I born in Lousiana, my birth certificate from 1962 has neither of those and is about the size of an index card. Yet it was good enough to recently renew my passport. So my guess is that you've not seen birth certificates from each and every state in the country.

"it. Do people really believe the f-ing president of this country would not be properly vetted? I used to rail against any and everything Obama on this very site. These days I just see him for what he really is, in over his head, and shamefully incompetent. "

If he'd BEEN properly vetted in the election by the media elites including the debate moderators (one of whom wrote a book the directly BENEFITING from his presidency, what with a Jan 20, 2009 release date), his INCOMPETENCE would have been plainfully apparent.

Well if you want to be completely accurate The economy began taking a tail spin prior to Bush taking office in 2001. If your theory is correct then that was all on Clinton. The tragedy and economic meltdown after September 11th came and all the "shoulda, coulda, woulda" people came out of the woodwork. Everyone agrees (including himself) Bush could have handled things better, but it's becoming frighteningly clear Obama's decisions are, at the very least, suspect as well.

If If If....his incompetence is utterly unapparent to me. Maybe you can help on this point?

You could skew a study, but once the methodology was published and vetted, it would lose validity. There's an entire process for reviewing methodology and conclusions. Of course, you wouldn't know anything about the process of research. It's easier to spout bullshit about what you don't know.

Fatty FatBastard
Fatty FatBastard

When studying people, "scientific results" are highly subjective, especially when you are trying to reach your desired conclusion. I promise you, I could skew a "study" towards any bias if I wanted.

But, I will likewise give you a site that will allow you to waste more mindless minutes.

You cannot destroy Donald Trump's physical body. His consciousness is in that hair. If Donald Trump were to fall by an assassin's bullet, he would live unless the hair was targeted, for that is the true source of his power. Otherwise, the hair will find a new host and wait until the time is right to unleash its fury.

Does anyone know a truly competent person who could realistically be elected to office at this point? I'm genuinely curious and open to voting suggests. It is such a defeated feeling knowing that the candidate I vote for -- because she or he best represents my beliefs -- will almost certainly not benefit from my vote at all (in terms of numbers and electoral votes) because she or he is a third party. Almost disenchanting enough to make me not even vote (note I said almost; I will still be voting).
