First The Hurricanes, Now The Grassfires, Soon The Locusts
Officials from Harris, Montgomery and Fort Bend counties issued a warning this afternoon to look out for brushfires.
"Until today, grass fires in this area have been relatively small, and relatively easy for local fire departments to extinguish. Today's conditions are much more dangerous, and a small fire could get out of control very quickly," Harris County Fire Marshal Mike Montgomery said.
We got mostly dry weather and high winds that are changing direction thanks to a cold front.
So officials are asking you to hold off on any outdoor burning, and we guess the post-Thanksgiving firework displays are definitely out.
