Can I Get Some Of My $30 Million Back?

Categories: Spaced City
Just a day before a new crew heads up to the International Space Station, NASA has announced the return of an old problem: The station's toilet is broken again.

The troubles involve a "gas separator" which, frankly, sounds like something you'd definitely want to be working in the toilet of a space station.

The Russian-built toilet failed late yesterday, a NASA spokesman says.

This is not especially good news for Richard Garriott of Austin, who is scheduled to head up to the ISS tomorrow as a space tourist.

You pay $30 million and you don't get a working toilet? We bet Garriott will be posting some pointed comments to the Priceline message board.

For now, the ISS astronauts are using the toilet in the attached Soyuz capsule, making it the world's most-out outhouse.
