This is Jamon Walker.

When you're facing capital murder charges, felony escape charges are nothing. At least to Harris County jail resident Jamon Walker.

According to Harris County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Christina Garza, at approximately 4:30 a.m., a deputy saw Walker standing in an area of the jail he was not authorized to be in. According to a sheriff's office press release, Walker refused the deputy's order to stop, making his way to the outside of the building.

Walker didn't last long as a free man. A search perimeter was set up and he was spotted on foot near Lee and Staples streets, approximately two miles from the jail. (Pretty far in 30 minutes. Must've been running at a good clip.)

According to the press release, after Walker's escape, three jails in downtown Houston were under a lockdown. That lockdown has expired and all inmates are accounted for, according to the release.

Walker has been in the Harris County Jail since July 2013 on a capital murder charge, and will now face felony escape charges as well. An internal investigation is being launched to figure out how the hell Walker got out in the first place.
