Update Monday 3:30 pm Michael Brown "went into cardiac arrest" October 24 and "remains hospitalized and incapacitated," according to a notice one of his attorneys filed in a Houston bankruptcy court Monday. The notice also stated "The extent of the damage he has suffered is unknown; however, it appears to be severe and, at this time, counsel has no ability to communicate with Dr. Brown."

UpdateMonday 9 a.m. : Michael Brown's criminal attorney in Fort Lauderdale confirmed this morning that Brown is in the hospital in serious condition. Alvin Entin said he could not disclose anything further. However, hospital representatives are still telling us they have no information about a Michael Glyn Brown being checked in. We'll keep you posted.

Ex-hand doc Michael Brown is in serious condition in a Miami hospital, sources told Hair Balls on Sunday. Citing hospital policy, a supervisor at Mount Sinai Medical Center would not confirm if Brown was a patient.

Brown was to report to Miami authorities October 25 to begin a 30-day sentence in federal prison after pleading guilty to assaulting flight attendants aboard a British Airways flight in January.

We're staying on top of this and hope to have more information soon.

Brown pleaded guilty to interfering with a flight crew after reaching a plea agreement with prosecutors in July that could have spared him any prison time. However, the judge did not accept the plea agreement and sentenced Brown to 30 days, plus two years of probation, and mandatory drug counseling. (Brown's lawyers blamed the incident on an unfortunate side effect of prescription medication).

In addition to criminal charges, Brown has been mired in bankruptcy courts in Miami and Houston, and a trial had been scheduled for September in the prolonged and ugly divorce proceedings between Brown and his estranged wife, Rachel.

Brown had also sued the former chief restructuring officer brought in as a last-ditch effort to save Brown's companies; and had also filed a suit against Rachel Brown's divorce attorneys, accusing them of violating his civil rights.

How much Valtrex does he, his ex wife and Bagwell consume daily?

But he was a civic treasure...raised so much needed money for charities, and employed so many, and his advertising touched us all.

OK, its been a week and no update? And he's in serious, not critical condition? Im sorry, but it won't believe it until the pennies are on his eyes!

Here's the story that is circulating....he was partying it up on Thursday with friends (the evening before he was suppose to turn himself in), and at some point went outside and fell to the ground.  No one noticed until it was too late and he had had a heart attack and been without oxygen for longer than he should have been in order to be revived.  He was rushed to the hospital, placed in ICU life support, but has not had any brain activity since the incident.  If this is all true, I'm sure we will get confirmation soon, if not and this is some warped Halloween stunt to stay out of jail.....that too will be obvious soon.

Kick em' when their down! Boy, it's great to see how our country is built on an eye for an eye mentality. How does that make you feel better constitutionally and morally to wish someone ill or gloat in another human being's downfall??  Where the hell do you derive pleasure out of that!

Cardiac arrest...If he was out for long enough, he could be braindead. Seriously doubt he did that to avoid a 30 DAY sentence, guys. It's never good when you're in a coma that long.  My SO suffered cardiac arrest at 27 and was declared braindead. He was a good man, but this guy's a piece of shit. No sympathy. No need to respect a man who doesn't respect anyone else.

He will probably have a remarkable recovery, get clean and sober and copy a best seller.

I'm sure some people still have compassion for this man and respect him, but they should also have compassion for the many, many people that he screwed over financially, and physically, AND showed no remorse for them what so ever.

he is not crazy, just a little misunderstood. I wonder if the ol' Brown technique he invented would work on a Lobotomy

I find it hard not to love this abusive, drug-addled maniac.

Is it just me or is the timing on this "illness" and his going to jail for 30 days a strange coincidence?

@jlorelei826 Obviously you were never one of his victims....Where the hell do you get off judging anyone that suffered at his hands....literally!

@teripoole2012   So tell me....how many of his victims and their families do you think had enough too, but he continued to attack them relentlessly!  Those are the people who needed to be shown "a little respect"!

@Puller58  Yes, let's rip on someone who's reportedly in serious condition in the hospital! Nice

@sneakers Thank you for telling me where it ends, much appreciated. Again, it's sad to see so many hateful and vindictive people like yourself, walking among us. Be it Michael Brown or any other person among us that is incapacitated or suffering for whatever reason, I do not wish them ill health or death. Guess that makes me a villain, right??? Check yourself!!

@sneakers @jlorelei826 We've all been victimized at one point or another in our lives AND I never wished death or ill health on someone. The man may have had major flaws but, unless you know anything different, he is not being accused of murder?? So, the person judging is you sneaker, I'm only questioning your human decency!

@jlorelei826 @sneakers Who are you to question anyone's decency?  That in itself jlorelei is judging.  You should probably re-thump your bible.  I amuse myself with the thought of putting people like you in a room filled with his victims that suffered his most heinous attacks...  We all appreciate you practicing your freedom of speech, but that's where it ends....no need to reply
