So let me give you the good news first. The US Men's National Team was victorious in their CONCACAF Gold Cup Final match this past Sunday. Their 1-0 win over Panama was their fifth cup title, and first since 2007.

The one blip on Sunday's victory was the injury to Houstonian and former Dynamo Stuart Holden. He came off in the 18th minute at Soldier Field in Chicago, and was replaced by Mix Diskerud.

On Monday, US Soccer announced that Holden was diagnosed with a torn ACL to his right knee. The tear was on the same knee he injured back in 2011. According to Ussoccer.com, Holden will now consult with the medical staff of the national team and his club team -- the Bolton Wanderers -- about his next steps.

"We are absolutely devastated for Stuart," U.S. head coach Jurgen Klinsmann told US Soccer. "He is such a great part of our team on the field and the locker room. He worked tremendously hard to recover; he was fully prepared to head back to Bolton and challenge for a starting spot. Now he will have our full support as he goes down this road again, and we will be with him every step of the way."

Holden himself took to Twitter, letting fans know that he may be down but he's by no means out for the count.

Dynamo duo at the All-Stars

Wednesday night, the MLS All-Stars are set to take on AS Roma in Kansas City. As always, the Dynamo will be represented in MLS's mid-summer classic. Midfielder Brad Davis and defender Corey Ashe were selected to help slay the Italian giants.

Both players have been away with national team duty recently. Davis was a member of the recent slew of World Cup Qualifying matches that saw the U.S. catapult to first place in the final stage with 13 points. Ashe, who spent time with the national team during the Gold Cup, will be making his second All-Star appearance.

The All-Star match is set for an 8 p.m. kickoff, and will be televised live on ESPN2.
