True cowboys are hard to find, but not at the Houston Rodeo. Life on the road leads them here this time every year for the biggest rodeo in the world, where they'll ride and wrangle livestock for cash and glory. Each day, Hair Balls will spotlight one person with enough dirt on his boots to call himself a cowboy -- and mean it.

Name: Shayde Etherton
Age: 21
Hometown: Originally from Borden, Indiana. Currently lives in Council Hill, Oklahoma.
Event: Steer Wrestling

This is my first time at RodeoHouston. So far, Cheyenne has been my favorite rodeo.

I started junior rodeos while I was in kindergarten.

My favorite part about rodeoing is making money. You get to spend a lot of time with friends and the guys you travel with. We have a good time.

When I'm not rodeoing, I like to practice a lot. I also like to do leather work and to go home to see my mom and dad.

If I wasn't rodeoing, I'd probably be shoeing horses full time.
