The Fast and the Foolish: Spendora Teen Christian Raines Leads Cops on Chase, Terrifies Passengers, Brags About Previous Exploits on Facebook

Christian Raines, speed demon
Christian Raines, 17, had a fast car. Now he doesn't. Apparently, Raines decided that his hopped-up sled could go Dukes of Hazzard on Montgomery County constables, and believed it so fervently, he bragged about outrunning cops on previous occasions. Unfortunately for Raines, this will probably be his last high-speed pursuit.

Raines and his bitchin' Camaro were doing 120 mph on US 59 and zipped right past a patrol car, which he led on a high-speed chase all the way to Coleman Road in Montgomery County, where he ran a red light pretending to be Ryan Gosling in Drive. When the constables pulled him over, they found two terrified passengers in the car with Raines who said they had been begging him to stop.

According to the Montgomery County Police Reporter, Raines had bragged about his exploits behind the wheel on Facebook and snapped a screenshot to prove it. I looked for his Facebook page but could not find it; however, the post on the Montgomery County Police Reporter Facebook page stirred up some heated debate and I did manage to find his MySpace page, which doesn't appear to have been updated for a while (at least he's smart enough not to use that), though his messy tangle of hair and Affliction tees are interesting enough.

Raines's car was seized by constables, and it doesn't appear he'll be getting it back since he used it in commission of a third-degree felony. The charge was enhanced because he had prior citations for speeds over 120 mph. Instead of trading in his Chevy for a Cadillac (ack ack ack ack ack), he'll be trading it for a ten-speed. Oh well.

Snap back, hipster glasses and UFC shirts.  I think he might be able to get off pleading insanity.  Clearly the kid is having an identity crisis.
