Mayor Annise Parker used Twitter to put a smiley face on the attempted burglary of her daughter's car in Montrose early Friday. (The tweet just went up today, so apparently it took a while to come up with that smiley-face reason.)
The attempted burglary of the unlocked(!) car was broken up by a Good Samaritan, but the suspects got away.
