Would-be "Grandpa Bandit" Leaves Chase Bank Empty Handed

The Houston FBI Bank Robbery Task Force is looking for help from the public after a man said to be in his 60s wearing a "short-sleeved light blue button down shirt," walked into a Chase bank, handed over a threatening note, but left without any money last Friday.

According to an FBI spokeswoman, this is what happened at the attempted robbery of the Chase Bank at 1102 Silber Road:
At approximately 11:52 a.m., the man walked into the bank and handed the teller a threatening note demanding money. The teller did not turn over any cash. The man appeared nervous and exited the bank quickly. He was seen leaving the area driving a maroon 1994 Dodge four-door vehicle with license plate number 160-TWN. No one was physically hurt during the robbery.
The "Grandpa Bandit" was described as a white male, in his sixties, about 6'0" tall with a medium build, short graying hair with a gray beard. He wore large-framed eyeglasses and a short-sleeved light blue button down shirt during the robbery.
