Lucion Barrett, 26, Shot; Suspect Azell Keith Thrasher in Custody: Bayou Body Count No. 204

Azell Keith Thrasher, Jr., 25 (pictured), has been charged with murder in the shooting death of Lucion Barrett, 26, of Needville. On Sunday, according to police, Barrett got in an argument inside the Sunnyside Sports Bar at 9677 Plainfield. He and the suspect were thrown out of the bar and continued to argue in the parking lot.

As the fight escalated, the suspect drew a gun and fired several shots hitting both Barrett and a second unidentified man, who is expected to recover. Barrett died at the hospital.
An investigation by HPD led to Thrasher being identified as the suspect in the case. He was taken into custody Tuesday and charged with murder.
