A fight with a neighbor escalated.
A 30-year-old man was found shot to death at 2016 Dunlavy early Sunday morning after a fight with a neighbor, Houston police say.

Benjamin David Becke of Huffman died on the scene about 2 a.m. after witnesses said he had fought with a neighbor.

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officer J. Villareal and Officer J. Horn reported that after interviewing witnesses, the neighbor, who was also interviewed, was released without charges. Becke suffered a gunshot wound to the chest.

The matter will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.

I and my sister knew Ben in highschool and were close at times. I can't belive that someone would pull a gun on him! Take it to the grand jury and push it all the way to the limit. If you kill somebody you should not be let go after questioning! What if this person skips town! Not good for the public to have someone on the loose who will pull a gun when pissed off! I feel real bad for his little girls and wife. I am a father and could not imagine my wife explaining to my children what happened to daddy. Hope to see you in a better light. Your friend from way back, Anthony Gonzales
