Tocarra Dubose faces intoxication manslaughter charges
A 22-year-old passenger was killed when the driver of the car she was in sideswiped a cop car and crashed into a tree early Sunday, Houston police say.

Aresha Griffin was killed in the 9100 block of Richmond a little after 2:30 a.m. Sunday, HPD says.

Toccarra Victoria Dubose, 28, faces manslaughter intoxication charges in the incident.

Police say one of their cruisers was making a turn on Richmond when it was hit from behind by Dubose's Taurus. The Taurus then went across several lanes of traffic and hit a tree.

Griffin was killed and pronounced dead on the scene as a result; no other serious injuries were reported. Some media report that Griffin was hanging her head out the window at the time of the crash.
