The body of a dead man was found shortly before midnight Monday at a northwest-side park, Houston police say.

An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death and identity, HPD says, but it appears the victim was shot to death.
Police got a call about a body in the 3800 block of Peppermill near Binglemill Park about 11:45 p.m. Monday and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
