Texans Hang On For Win Over Broncos: You Thought This Would Be Easy?

Schaub for four TDs

Just in case Houston Texan fans were getting accustomed to easy blowouts, the locals made sure to remind everyone that getting to an AFC Championship, much less a Super Bowl, isn't exactly a walk in the park.

With about 10 minutes left in this game at Denver, though, it sure looked like that -- the Texans had cruised to a 13-point lead and were looking to add to it. But Peyton Manning and the Broncos didn't die easy, and there was a bit of nail-biting before the game went into the books as a 31-25 win.

All in all it was an impressive win on the road -- the league is still not sure exactly how good Denver will end up being, so it's still hard to gauge -- and has the Texans looking pretty as the Tennessee Titans come to Reliant Sunday.

Andre Johnson and Matt Schaub shined in some impressive bombs -- Schaub threw for four TDs -- and Arian Foster had yet another solid game.

Last week fans complained the romp over Jacksonville was boring. The Texans made some adjustments to make sure that didn't happen this time -- but we were kidding, we like boring -- and they walked away with a solid road win.

Upcoming tests against the Packers and Ravens before the October 28 bye may tell us more about the team, but for now all you need to know is they keep racking up Ws.
