Police are looking for him.
Purse-snatching is hardly the most manly of crimes -- you pick a feeble-looking victim you're sure you can outrun, make a grab and then run for the hills.

Sometimes, though, you misjudge your prey.

That's what the guy pictured here did, and although he got away, Crime Stoppers and the Webster police are on his trail.

They say about 9 p.m. July 5, he went into the parking lot of a Gulf Freeway Mexican restaurant with ill-gotten gains on his mind.

Things, however, didn't go smoothly after he grabbed the victim's purse:

The victim chased the suspect through the parking lot of the restaurant, until [the suspect] entered the driver's side of a newer model gray Toyota hatchback and attempted to flee. The victim lunged through the vehicle's open window and retrieved her purse.

Not bad! If not necessarily the smartest play. The snatcher threw the determined woman from the car, causing minor injuries, and then barreled away.

He's described as a black male in his 30s, about six feet tall with an average build.

Anyone with any info and any interest in a reward should contact Crime Stoppers at 713-22-TIPS or via the Web site.
