Comment of the Day: Mayor Parker's Cowboy Boots
We have some great commenters here on Hair Balls, and it's time we paid some damn attention to them.
So we'll be highlighting a Comment of the Day each morning or afternoon from the previous day's work. Maybe two comments, even.
This will all be determined by a highly rigorous scientific formula involving wit, clarity and whatever else we feel like at the moment.
Mayor Annise Parker made an appearance on The Colbert Report Wednesday night and generally came away with glowing reviews. We pointed out some of the myths about Houston she tried to dispel while on the show, and one of them was that Houstonians wear boots and cowboy hats every day, though she passed on trying to disprove we all have oil wells in our back yards. One commenter, though, went the other direction.
