Theresa Landry, "Mother Theresa" Of Neighborhood, Bayou Body Count No. 80
A woman who was known as "Mother Theresa" for all the help she gave around the neighborhood was shot to death early this morning.
The neighborhood's grandmother killed
Houston police did not reveal the identity or age of the victim, whose body was discovered in the 5400 block of Chennault, but KHOU reports it is Theresa Landry, and that she was considered the grandmother of her southeast-side neighborhood.
HPD says it received a 911 call from someone who reported hearing a woman cry for help and then finding her body on the sidewalk.
"The victim appears to have suffered unknown trauma," HPD says, and there are no known suspects or witnesses.
