Comment of the Day: Passionate Sports Talk Radio Fans Debate Host Rankings

Categories: Whatever

We have some great commenters here on Hair Balls, and it's time we paid some damn attention to them.

So we'll be highlighting a Comment of the Day each morning or afternoon from the previous day's work. Maybe two comments, even.

This will all be determined by a highly rigorous scientific formula involving wit, clarity and whatever else we feel like at the moment.

We ranked Houston's 21 full-time sports-talk personalities from worst to first.

It generated some response, to put it lightly.

a few observations.

Matt Jackson: would be much more credible if his opinions were built on reasoning. He shoots from the hip, is rarely more informed than callers, and is routinely squashed - and rightfully so - by Lance and Adam, who are much more intelligent and informed.

idiots on ESPN at noon: one is a degenerate gambler who can't get over his mid-life crisis entry into the WSOP. My theory still sticks: any "poker player" who discusses his game as much as this a-hole is masking insecurities and leaks in his play. I also played in the WSOP when I turned 40, but I don't feel the need to tell the whole world about it on a regular basis. Also, his weak play is evidenced by his wearing of headphones and shades at the table: amateur hour. The other dude: frat boy who needs to haul his ass back to Austin and stay there. Aside from these points, these fools do know sports.
