Unidentified Robber, Bayou Body Count No. 72
One half of a robbery team was shot and killed by someone in the house they were trying to hit, Houston police said.
Part of a two-man robbery team, police say
Shortly before noon Saturday, residents came home to their northside house in the 500 block of Reid to discover their electricity was out.
One went back to check the breaker box and was confronted by an armed man. While he was in the backyard, a second man entered the front door, police said. That man "was confronted by a resident inside the home and was shot multiple times," Houston police said.
The shot man was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The armed man at the breaker box fled the scene.
