Comment of the Day: Does the Chron's Sports Coverage Suck?

We have some great commenters here on Hair Balls, and it's time we paid some damn attention to them.
So we'll be highlighting a Comment of the Day each morning, from the previous day's work. Maybe two comments, even.
This will all be determined by a highly rigorous scientific formula involving wit, clarity and whatever else we feel like at the moment.
John Royal wrote on Tuesday about how two of the new hires at the Chron are not from Houston and how that also seems to be true for quite a few in local sports media. One person agreed and pointed to -- gulp -- Dallas as an example of good local sports coverage.

The Chron's sports section is disgraceful for a city this size. Too small. Too many AP stories. Hell, you might as well go to the AP website every day instead of paying for a subscription to that rag. Too see what we in Houston are missing, just compare a Sunday Chronicle sports section to a Sunday Dallas Morning News sports section. While the DMN has some issues, it is vastly superior to what we in Houston have to live with.
Yikes.
