Don McLeroy: Former State Board of Ed Chair Gets Colbert Treatment
Don McElroy, the most vociferous of the creationists who led the charge on the State Board of Education to get rightwing dogma into textbooks, was on The Colbert Report last night.
Another dose of Texas on Colbert.
He kept his cool and laughed along, but it's doubtful he won many converts. Unless they were fans of Pet Rocks, since McElroy brought along what looked like one as a prop.
Choice quotes from Stephen Colbert: "Science can be a personal choice" and, after McElroy described how the SBOE voted on textbook content, "I've always been a fan of reality by majority vote."
