When KTRK interviewed Carlos Antonio Alvarado, 45, about his missing wife, they say he looked into the camera and addressed the presumed kidnappers by saying, "Isabel Alvarado is not a normal person. She is a queen. And you have no right to put your dirty hands on her."

On Sunday he was charged with killing her, then taking her body to a remote area where he burned and buried it.

Isabel Alvarado, 39, had not been seen since leaving her late shift at a Taco Bell March 30. Carlos Alvarado was questioned extensively by police during that time.

Sunday, prosecutors said Alvarado had driven his wife's body to an aunt's farm in Fort Bend County. They said he told the aunt he needed to burn and bury an animal, then did so with his wife's corpse.

The woman's remains have been found, but formal identification is pending a medical examiner's review.

Court documents show Alvarado has been charged with murder and bond has been set at $100,000.
