Cowboy Diaries: Kaley Bass -- Strike a Pose
True cowboys are hard to find, but not at the Houston Rodeo. Life on the road leads them here this time every year for the biggest rodeo in the world, where they'll ride and wrangle livestock for cash and glory. Each day, Hair Balls will spotlight one person with enough dirt on his boots to call himself a cowboy -- and mean it.

I'm currently staying in Victoria rodeoing with a friend there.
I started barrel racing when I was eight years old. I started riding horses around the same time.
My favorite part about rodeoing is being able to travel. This is my first time to Rodeo Houston -- last year was my rookie year. I've had a lot of favorite rodeo places so far. I think experiencing the Rodeo in Houston is going to be great.
When I'm not rodeoing, I ride horses, mostly younger ones, and hang out with friends. Other than that, it's mostly rodeo.
If I wasn't rodeoing, I don't know. I've never really thought about it.
"Can I see that?," Kaley politely asks us after we snap a photo. We oblige. After a quick glance, she requests: "Can we take another one, please?" Instead of facing the camera straight-on, she rotates her body a few degrees to her right. The shutter releases. She approves the second effort, and then walks off smiling as the sound of her boots echoes through the Reliant Stadium hallway.
