Cowboy Diaries: Caleb Mitchell -- Tomball High Grad Still Hearts Houston
True cowboys are hard to find, but not at the Houston Rodeo. Life on the road leads them here this time every year for the biggest rodeo in the world, where they'll ride and wrangle livestock for cash and glory. Each day, Hair Balls will spotlight one person with enough dirt on his boots to call himself a cowboy -- and mean it.

Name: Caleb Mitchell
Hometown: Tomball, Texas
Event: Team Roping
I graduated from Tomball High School and I've been rodeoing forever. I now live in Mason.
This is my fourth time at Rodeo Houston. I've done pretty good each year. I've never won it or nothing, but I've won a couple of thousand each year.
The cool thing about rodeo is that you go all over the world. I go from here to Washington state to everywhere else.
Houston is my favorite place to rodeo because I grew up here. I have a few friends and family who come out to see me. When I come back, people call me or text me the night after I rope. The first time I roped here was like a dream because I always dreamed about that as a kid.
When I'm not rodeoing, I'm mainly practicing. That's about it. There's nothing else I really do.
I keep rodeoing because I love it. That's the reason why you do it. A lot of times when you don't got no money and you're driving all night and everything else, you're doing it because you love it.
