The woman who was, for a while, the most celebrated eighth-grade cheerleader wanna-be is finally speaking out.

Shanna Widner, now 34 (!), was the kid who caused "Pom-Pom Mom" Wanda Holloway to hire a hitman (one of the five top Texas cheerleader scandals ever) in order to improve her chances of making the squad.

The case got more than a little attention worldwide, and a great movie came out of it.

Widner went on Good Morning America and was poised, although she hasn't exactly reconciled with her mom.

"We have (pause) not a very close relationship; we don't have a mother-daughter relationship where you sit around and gossip, we have more of a relationship that's focused around my boys," she says.
