League City's City Manager Suspended for Using the N-Word in LSU-Alabama Discussion

• If you don't understand the point, I think it's kind of a lost cause. You defend the behavior of a city manager because "You hear blacks saying that all of the time." It's his position - not his race - that makes the use of the word questionable. Although obviously it is not a crime to be a racist fool or to use locker room language or to generally be a low-class moron, it seems reasonable that if someone who is in a public position uses that language, it might be deemed inappropriate. It would be the same as, say, being drunk in the middle of the day: Just because you see someone on a street corner drunk in the middle of the day wouldn't get the city manager off the hook for the same behavior.  Is that a tough concept?

• What word are you refering to? Nubian,Need, etc. If you can find someone to reread the article to you. You would discover that person was repremanded for using a racial slur. Thus, the context of these comments. That being said, Brother Quannell needs to go get a job to pay back the community that I ripped off. Peace Ya'll

• I love how some people just need to say that word. Out of all the words in the English language, this is the one you latch on to. Really make you think why you want to say it so damn badly. • Are most of those blacks you're talking about city managers or "public servants"?  White, black, or otherwise, I'd hope there's a slightly higher standard for city managers than for whoever you're hanging out with...
