Jason Lont: Katy High Theater Director Accused of Sexual Conduct with 15-Year-Old Boy
A theater director at Katy High has been charged with sexual assault of a child in relation to a 15-year-old boy the man allegedly met via Grindr, a gay-hookup app.

Jason Lont, 35, who is listed as an assistant theater director on the school's Web site, has been charged with performing oral sex on the boy, who is not a student. The incident happened at his Katy home.
Court documents show the boy's mother discovered text messages that indicated a sexual relationship between the two and contacted authorities.
The Katy school district told Fox 26 that Lont, who has been at the school since 2005, was placed on administrative leave January 12 after officials learned of the allegations.
Just five days later, Lont was quoted in the Houston Chronicle 's Katy edition describing Katy High's theater production.
Jason Lont, assistant theatre director, said a melodrama is new to the Katy students. It's been at least 10 to 12 years since the school produced a similar play."Comedy is much harder than drama. Dying is easy - comedy's hard," Lont said.
"I tell the student actors: comedy is so subjective. What's funny to you may not be funny to me and what may be funny in rehearsal one day may not be able to be repeated the next, it may fall flat ... you just keep going and you commit fully.
"The comedy and the grandness of the sets, costume changes and music has been a big challenge, but the Katy Tigers are no strangers to working hard and we want everyone to experience a Texas-size comedy!"
He is out on a $30,000 bond.
