Reginald Eaglin Charged in Death of Montrose Salon Owner

We reported to you this morning that Scott Ellis Childress, 46, had been beaten to death over the weekend at his Montrose-area salon. According to a media report, Reginald Eaglin has been charged with murder in the death of Childress.

According to police reports, Childress and Eaglin got into an argument inside the Scott Childress Studio, which also was the home of Childress, on Welch Street at Dunlavy. Eaglin told police that Childress attacked him with a pipe wrench during the argument. Eaglin allegedly grabbed the wrench and hit Childress with it before walking away.

After interviewing Eaglin, who turned himself in when he learned he was a person of interest, murder charges were filed against him by the District Attorney.
