We have some great commenters here on Hair Balls, and it's time we paid some damn attention to them.

So we'll be highlighting a Comment of the Day each morning, from the previous day's work. Maybe two comments, even.

This will all be determined by a highly rigorous scientific formula involving wit, clarity and whatever else we feel like at the moment.

On Monday, we gave you our blueprint for managing the Texans' offseason, which included re-signing Mario Williams only if the price is right. There has been much debate online and off about what to do with the talented linebacker, who was on a blistering pace before tearing a pectoral muscle earlier this year. Commenter Matt thinks he knows the answer.

Given the NFL salary cap and the needs of the Texans, resigning Mario would be a HORRIBLE decision. If we could find a way to sign and trade him for picks, then we would be doing great for ourselves; but sign and trades don't seem to occur in football.

Nope, sign and trades don't happen in the NFL. It's going to be a long offseason.
