Comment of the Day: Mario vs. Arian Edition

We have some great commenters here on Hair Balls, and it's time we paid some damn attention to them.

So we'll be highlighting a Comment of the Day each morning, from the previous day's work. Maybe two comments, even.

This will all be determined by a highly rigorous scientific formula involving wit, clarity and whatever else we feel like at the moment.

We suspected when we posted our take on the whole Mario Williams versus Arian Foster debate that readers would want to have their say. After all, it has dominated sports radio for nearly two weeks. The good news is that we have some dang smart commenters like Championshipvinyl73, who wrote:

fact is fact. The defense finished as a top 3 defense WITHOUT Mario for the bulk of the season. The running game without Foster when he teweaked his hammy was considerably more anemic. Mario's money could cover Brisel and Meyers and Foster combined. Let him walk and thank him for his contrabutions. He's a 4-3 DE, plain and simple. It was only a matter of time before TEs and RBs started to expose him as a coverage liability in the flat, wheel route, and shallow seam routes.

We don't disagree, CV73. Oh, have you considered that for a nickname instead of spelling it all out? It just sounds cooler.
