Abel Martinez: Just Another Dude Who Steals Panties and Dogs, Cops Say
Cops say Abel Martinez was a busy guy, what with all the stealing of panties and, um, dogs.
Women: Your panties are safe now.
Martinez, 32, apparently made a habit of breaking into women's apartments, leaving notes like "I'm watching you," and taking their panties, according to KPRC.
The station was on hand and got the exclusive when Harris County Sheriff's deputies pulled Martinez over on a traffic stop and discovered they had a panty thief on their hands.
Martinez broke into at least four apartments on the west side, in one case taking a dog, who according to the picture in the story is just adorable.
He also took an iPad from one place, and investigators got on to him when he gave stolen property as a gift to someone who reported him.
KPRC did not specify whether the property in question was an iPad, white fluffy poodle-like dog or used panties.
Update: From the HCSO: "According to investigators Mr. Martinez would enter the homes and steal electronics, jewelry, kitchen items, clothing, including underwear, shoes, and in at least two cases, dogs. Investigators have been able to recover some of the stolen property, including the two dogs."
