The 26th Law and the Media Seminar will feature a discussion of the legal, ethical and practical implications of WikiLeaks. The mega site that has released hundreds of documents to the media over the past couple years stirred up a firestorm of controversy over how this information should be handled and the ramifications of releasing it to the public.

The seminar will feature Geoffrey Robertson, the London-based lawyer for WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, and New York Times reporter Eric Schmitt, who interviewed Assange and read over literally thousands of documents released by the site.

There will also be a panel discussion featuring Lucy Dalglish, the executive director of the Reporters Committee on Freedom of the Press, former U.S. Attorney Don Gabrelle and federal criminal defense lawyer David Adler.

The seminar will be held this Saturday, January 28, at South Texas College of Law.
