A man was shot to death in an apparent robbery attempt on the south side early Sunday morning, police say.

The murder occurred about 2:30 a.m. in the 3500 block of Dixie Drive. The male victim, whose name has not been released, was found dead by police. Witnesses said "they saw the suspect flee the scene in a white Chevy," KTRK reports.
