Comment of the Day: Joel Osteen's Reality Show

We have some great commenters here on Hair Balls, and it's time we paid some damn attention to them.

So we'll be highlighting a Comment of the Day each morning, from the previous day's work. Maybe two comments, even.

This will all be determined by a highly rigorous scientific formula involving wit, clarity and whatever else we feel like at the moment.

Lakewood Church's Joel Osteen is getting a reality show, and we offered some examples of what it would be like if it followed templates like Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Dog the Bounty Hunter or Fear Factor.

One reader offered another option.

Katy wrote:

It can be a 24-hour per day channel consisting of a) Victoria counting money while b) Joel takes preexisting secular motivational speeches and adds "with God" at the end of every sentence.

Second Baptist and the Fellowship of the Woodlands could buy all the ad time!

It appears that this man is more concerned about spot light than preaching the Gospel Of Jesus Christ. His messages have all forms of religions mixed together to create his own doctrine. Everything seems to revolved around success and prosperity.  This is an apostate church because God has called us to rebuke, correct, and exhort. Joel only exhorts. He builds up with a pimp style by sweet talk; only telling people what they want to hear. He tickles their ears. How can the conviction of the Holy Spirit drive people to their knees for repentance if there's no true preaching on salvation of the the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This man is afraid to stand for Jesus Christ. He's denied Jesus Christ as the only way to heaven on Larry King, and has business with Oprah Wimprey. By the secular world, she is called a queen. She has denounced Jesus Christ. I heard her with her own lips. She believes many paths to heaven. She's a heretic, and an imposter. She's a wolf in sheep's clothing. A true man of God does not coward down to the world as Joel has done in many occasions. A true man of God will not be afraid to confess Jesus Christ before men; even while being questioned on national television. These things have been prophesied over two thousand years ago. The Apostle Paul made it known that in the last days many will fall away from the faith and pay attention to seducing spirits. These are the end time. Jesus will soon return. Get right with Jesus Christ now. He loves you. Repent, ask Him to forgive you of your sins. Confess to Him that you believe in Him, and know that He's the only way to heaven. Jesus is the way the truth and the life. No man can make it to heaven without Jesus. Jesus came to the earth not to condemn people. He came to save us. People are already condemned because we have all been born into sin. The blood that was shed my Jesus Christ make it possible for all who believe to be saved from the Lake of fire. Repent, and confess Jesus as Lord and Savior! He will forgive you, and teach you all that you need to know!

The new Joel Osteen reality show just sounds like a "breath of fresh air" in reality TV.
