Driving drunk at 8 a.m. Sunday, cops say
A 20-year-old man has been charged with two counts of intoxication manslaughter after a weekend accident.

The identities of Eric Quiroz' victims have not been released pending verification by the medical examiner.

Police say Quiroz was driving a black Chevrolet Monte Carlo south on State Highway 6 about 8 a.m. Sunday when a Honda Accord entered the intersection at Pine Forest. The two collided, and Quiroz' car smashed into a third vehicle.

The driver of the Accord and a passenger in Quiroz' car were killed. Occupants of the third car were treated for minor injuries. Quiroz is being treated for injuries at Ben Taub.
