They've been trying their best for the past 12 months, and now it's time to reveal which Houstonians and Texans have earned the coveted honor of being named a Houston Press Turkey of the Year.
In some ways, dynasties continued their reign in this, the ninth year of competition; in other cases, newcomers came along and made such a strong showing that they demanded a crown.
