Nominate Your 2011 Turkeys of the Year
It's November, and that can mean a couple of things: Optimism still reigns about the Texans, the weather's bearable and it's time to start thinking about which local eminences should be named a Houston Press Turkey of the Year.
Let the speculating and the nominating begin.
Once again we'll be anointing a chosen few to win the coveted honor, and of course one to rule them all as the Turkey of the Year.
Consider your votes carefully: You can peruse a highlight chart of past winners, or see all the stories we've done since beginning this tradition eight years ago.
The rules are flexible: generally there's a political and a sports turkey, but after that things get loose. So don't feel too penned in. Nominate anyone who you think truly deserves turkeydom, and then look for our results on November 24.
